I didn’t get Easter Dresses made this year, but I did get this version of the Deer Creek from New Horizons Designs sewn up for my daughter. I have a ton of this sparkle knit that I bought intending to make full skirt-dresses. I love the color and decided to stop hoarding the fabric.

I hacked the Deer Creek to have a high low hem and added a ruffle to the hem. It turned out just like I imagined!

I ended up doing the neckline twice. The first time I did a t-shirt binding out of habit. But the style looked weird with the fabric. So I cut off the neckband and put on a bias neckline. It fits the style of the dress much better.

My daughter is so excited about this dress and already wore it around our house on Sunday!
