I made my first Riviera Raglan from New Horizons Designs over 2 years ago and since then I’ve been dying to try out the tank version. That shoulder ‘accent’ looks so cool!  I finally decided to try it out as a swim top!  I live in Florida so we swim pretty much all year round and I’m excited to have something new to add some variety to my swim wear. Introducing: the Riviera Rashgaurd!

My fabric is from the Raspberry Creek Fabrics 2019 swim line.  I’ve paired the print with solid navy swim fabric and love how it looks.  I have several navy bottoms and so I’ll layer this Riviera Rashguard over a swim bralette or something like that. I’ve got the beginnings of a navy swim capsule in my closet!

Now my Riviera Rashgaurd gives less sun protection than your typical rashgaurd since its a tank and doesn’t cover the shoulders. But I like that because it is hot during the summer in Florida and sleeves are hot. It’s perfect for going to the beach or days when I’m taking the kids to the pool myself.  I can get sunscreen to all of my exposed skin by myself.  Because as much as I love my kids, I just don’t trust them to throughly apply sunscreen on my back.  And the sun is intense here.  I’m not a fan of sunburns so I reapply the sunscreen every 90-120 minutes.  It is so nice to be able to do it myself and know it got done right! Peace of mind is priceless friends!
