Me Made May 2018
This year I’m going to be participating in Me Made May! You can head over to SoZo if you want to find out more about the challenge, but the basics is I’m pledging to wear one handmade item each day of May.
Hopefully this will help me further understand just what I need in my wardrobe for Florida and maybe even fill it! However, my family is moving yet again, so we will have to see how much I’ll add. I do have some things I’ve made in the past month or so that I haven’t shared yet. So head over to Instagram (@hazelnutmade) to see what they are. And eventually they will make it over here to the blog!
I’ll try to put photos up but it won’t be everyday. Because honestly, there’s gonna be repeats. And I’m moving. I feel like I’m a broken blog (record) because I feel like I’ve written that on this little blog so. stinking. often. in the past 2 years…
Anyways, Me Made May should be really fun!
Yes, but you are now moving into your very own home! And from what I’ve seen and heard, it looks and sounds amazing!
Hopefully this will be the last time you move… at least for many many years to come!
Yes, the house is beautiful!! We may need you guys to come visit and help us with some building projects and/or knocking out walls. Decorating projects may make their way to the blog eventually too…
So, just wondering out loud… how hard would it be to upsize the Janie dress that you made for your daughter? I really liked the design, and I enjoy wearing knits… I have only hacked aprons and skirts : )
I love to hack, but haven’t done much grading up or down for completely different sizes. Just between sizes. Luckily, MouseHouse Creations has a Ladies Janie Dress pattern that is meant to match the Janie Dress! So you don’t have to reinvent the wheel-it’s already been done! I made a peplum from the Ladies Janie Dress. You can see it at http://www.hazelnuthandmade.com/pattern-review-womens-janie-dress-and-peplum/ I’d love to see your version when you sew it up!
