Lavender and Dusty Pink Floral Baby Quilt
Remember the sweet girly baby quilt I shared earlier this month? I couldn’t get enough of the dusty pink! But I was out of the fabrics I used to coordinate with it. Luckily, I have a floral print with touches of dusty pink! This lavender floral baby quilt is contemporary and playful!
Because the floral print is predominantly lavender, I think of this as a lavender floral baby quilt. But the print is busy and needed some wide strips of dusty pink and aqua to balance out the quilt. Now you can look at the lavender floral print without having your head spin! Just like the Fox and Bicycle baby quilt I quilted this blanket with straight line quilting in various widths. However, this time I used some pink thread and it blends in with the backing fabric wonderfully. The texture is lovely!
Looking closely at the lavender floral print, you see a subtle wood grain print!
I love to bind my quilts with subtle prints like this light gray metallic fabric. Up close, it looks like a small cross hatch. From a distance, it appears solid and just shimmers!
