Finished Eleonore Pull On Jeans

A while ago I shared my muslin for Eleonore pull on jeans.  Well I finished a pair of shorts out of my fashion fabric but just never got around to sharing.  So today’s the day! Eleonore Pull On Jeans with Hazelnut Handmade

I decided to use a different denim for this pair and it has more stretch than my muslin.  I scooped out the back crotch more than my muslin, added 1/2 inch to the top of the yoke, and tapered the top edge of the waist band to eliminate some gaping.  I’m pretty happy with how the front looks and how the waistband fits.

But underneath my bum has lots of wrinkles and the side seams at the waist are pulling to the back more than I remember from my muslin.  The wrinkles get worse after I sit down.  It’s like the legs slide up to accomodate sitting down, and then just stay?  Not sure.  And it looks like I didn’t need to add the 1/2 inch to the yoke after all!

But the Eleonore pull on jeans are finished and I’m wearing them.  My wardrobe is seriously slim and I’m not sure I could make it to the next wash day without wearing these.  And that means I probably need to make another pair.  It’s just too hot to wear long pants! (sorry all of you still in snow-but it’s true!) So do I stick with the Eleonore Pull on Jeans and try to perfect the fit or try out the Ginger Jeans pattern and see if I can fit real jeans?
